Wanda's brother, Ralph, and his sisters requested that Wanda's name be corrected to properly represent their family and their pride in having Wanda as their sister.

Subject: Name correction

As I reviewed the Graduates of the WWII WASP's , looking for my sister, I find that her name is not correct. She is a member of Class 44-5 , 6/27/44. Her name is listed as ROBEDEE, Wands C. [Townsley]. Her maiden name is MERRILL., and her first name is WANDA ( with an "a" not an "s"!). At the time of her service she was married to a Harry ROBEDEE. Her name should appear in your records as: MERRILL, Wanda C. [Robedee]. The name Townsley was her second marriage near the end of the war or shortly thereafter. For the record her middle name is CAZIER which was our mothers maiden name and is also my middle name!

She passed away in January 1965 and left two sons Richard and Daniel Townsley.

It is mine and my other sisters desire that the family name of MERRILL be asssociated with and part of the history of such an outstanding and dedicated group of women. Thank you for what you have done for them.
